Health Plan of Nevada partners with Violet to advance person-centered care across the state.

We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Health Plan of Nevada (HPN), a strategic initiative that supports the state’s goals to improve health outcomes and increase access to person-centered care for every Nevada resident.

“We’re proud to partner with HPN to operationalize this vision by building a provider network where trust and health outcomes are deeply aligned,” says Gaurang Choksi, CEO of Violet.

HPN is committed to ensuring that all Nevadans can access care that is effective, compassionate, and culturally responsive. Our collaboration directly supports Nevada’s Battle Born State Plan (BBSP) and Medicaid Managed Care programs, both of which prioritize equity, value-based care, and person-centered approaches for populations with increased risk factors.

Together, Violet and HPN will work to improve care outcomes for key populations across the state, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and Tribal communities, Veterans, people with disabilities, justice-involved individuals, rural communities, and others who have historically experienced barriers to care.

“Our partnership with Violet reflects our commitment to supporting Nevada’s vision for a healthier future,” says Joe Fu, CEO of Health Plan of Nevada.

Together, we are working to ensure that every Nevadan—no matter their zip code or background—can access quality, person-centered care.

Partnership details

In alignment with the state’s Quality Incentive Payment Program (QIPP) and Provider Access Improvement Plan, Violet will support HPN by:

  • Mapping provider network capabilities using our evidence-based Benchmarks to identify where access to person-centered care is strong, and where there is room for improvement.
  • Delivering targeted education through CE/CME-accredited pathways that increase providers’ capacity to deliver person-centered care.
  • Expanding access to quality care by ensuring the provider network reflects the evolving needs of Nevada’s population.

Centering equity as a core obligation

“The State of Nevada has made it clear that improving population health—especially for historically underserved communities—is no longer a secondary objective, it is a contractual obligation,” says Choksi.

At Violet, we believe equitable, person-centered care should be the standard, not the exception. Through this partnership, we’re proud to help advance a future where every Nevadan receives care that recognizes who they are and what they need.
