Through our partnership, a subset of One Medical providers have:

• Gained access to Violet’s platform: 1,500 clinicians were invited to use Violet’s education and analytics tools to support their growth.
• Earned Verified recognition: Over 40% of providers have become Violet Verified, meaning they’ve demonstrated specific skills for caring for at least one patient group such as BIPOC, LGBG, TGNC, Rural, Neurodivergent, or Veteran populations. This shows they can adapt care to the unique needs of the patient in front of them.
• Committed to learning: Together, providers have completed more than 500 hours of accredited continuing education on topics including health equity, mental health care for BIPOC patients, nutrition counseling with an intersectional approach, and more.
• Advanced their skills: 14 percent of participating providers have moved up to higher Benchmark levels, reflecting deeper expertise in person-centered care. 

For patients, these milestones mean more of One Medical’s providers are equipped with the knowledge and recognition to deliver care that truly meets people where they are. It signals that One Medical is investing in both their providers and their patients by ensuring that care is not only clinically sound but also responsive to each person’s lived experience.

Becoming a Violet Verified Organization means a health care organization has met Violet’s standard for delivering person-centered care across its network. To qualify, organizations must demonstrate that a meaningful portion of their clinical workforce is active on Violet and that those providers have shown competencies in caring for historically underserved populations, including BIPOC, LGBQ, TGNC, Rural, Veteran, and Neurodivergent patients.

This designation is more than a badge. It is a signal to patients that they can trust the care they receive. It is a benchmark for health plans and employers looking to partner with organizations that prioritize quality and equity. And it is a roadmap for providers, showing how their growth as individuals contributes to transformation at the organizational level.

Why It matters.

One Medical’s staff reflect the communities they serve, with 42 percent identifying as BIPOC and 14 percent identifying as LGBTQ+. Their Verified Organization status affirms that they are not only diverse, but also actively building the skills and structures necessary to care for patients with respect, understanding, and compassion.
