Mission

We’re on a mission to build health equity. We envision a world where every human receives equitable health care, inclusive of their race, sexual orientation, gender, ability, language, citizenship, or more.

Bio

Violet provides the health care industry with a full suite of health equity tools powered by the first standardization of inclusive care, Violet Benchmarks. Finally, clinical ability to deliver identity-centered care can be measured and applied to solutions.

Team

For us, it’s personal. As a team of queer, BIPOC, and Disabled folks, all of us have identities that are important to our health care journeys. Prior to creating Violet, our founding team spent years building digital health companies like Oscar, Iora, and 2U.

Gaurang is the Founder and CEO of Violet. As a gay man, an Indian immigrant, and as someone that grew up on Medicaid, Gaurang is very passionate about equitable health care. He spent years building Oscar Health and leading their LGBT affinity group to ensure that all Oscar members received the inclusive care they deserve. In his spare time, he enjoys taking his rambunctious puppy Simba on long walks.

Outside of Violet, you can find Scott playing soccer for an LGBTQIA team in San Francisco or (shamelessly) binging reality TV.
