Support Groups

Led by facilitators, support groups provide a safe space to connect and grow with others like you.

TGNC Support Group

Support groups are recurring groups, facilitated by either: a therapist, coach, or peer specialist. Support groups offer a safe space to share experiences about a specific identity, situation, or general mental health. Attending a support group provides an opportunity to connect with people who share both their struggles and the ways in which they thrive.

Support Group
This is a discussion group for TGNC folx. It's a safe place to share our experiences of being TGNC and get the support, and community, we need to keep growing and becoming more confident in who we are and want to be. We’ll talk about the challenges and pressures we face: internally, in partnership, at work, in society, and in family. We’ll also share resources and positive ways we’ve found pride in who we are.

Skills Group
In our skills group for TGNC folx we’ll get to learn, share and develop specific skills we need to help us to feel more free and have a more positive experience of ourselves and the world around us. We’ll work together to build up our toolbox of skills to increase our Inner strength, self-awareness, and self confidence.

This is an ongoing group, which will include both supporting each other and skill building.

Facilitator Profile

B Harriman (He/Him, They/Them)

"Growing up as a TGNC person I felt unseen and unheard a lot. I didn’t see many people that reflected who I was and who I wanted to be. Through those challenges I developed new skills and support and learned how important a sense of community is to gain the confidence it takes to keep becoming who I really am."

Hi I’m B. I’m  a non-binary transman and my pronouns are he and they. I create and facilitate skill building and discussion groups for other TGNC folx to find community together and to teach and learn the tools I wish I’d had growing up. I’m Cuban and British and originally from Miami. My first dream in kindergarten was to become a werewolf. My experiences growing up feeling different and having to imagine and invent my own identity are the inspiration behind all of my work. When I’m not speaking or teaching I’m writing and illustrating books and activities about a non-binary hero named Mischief who’s on a mission to change the world. I currently reside in NYC where I live and work on being the best version of myself I can be and hunt down adventure everyday.
