Marcus approaches his work with flexibility, compassion, and deep respect for self-determination. He firmly believes you are the expert in your experience. Marcus’ practice utilizes cognitive-behavioral, somatic, and relational techniques to explore how your concerns have developed and helps you build skills to interrupt the cycles that detract from your quality of life. I integrate a psychodynamic lens to unpack both present-day issues and their underlying causes which can often be found in early life experiences.
Marcus’ style is a blend of his professional training, educational background, and his own experiences as a therapy patient. Marcus does his best to provide a non-judgmental, warm, and collaborative environment so that you can talk honestly to address your needs. He is an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and particularly enjoys working with Black, Brown, Indigenous, and POC clients.
