Bree Loethen
About
Bree is passionate about helping clients develop more fulfilling relationships with others and with themselves. She uses a systemic framework and so considers the relational, environmental, societal, and cultural contexts that surround her clients. On an individual level, Bree believes that emotions play a fundamental role in the difficulties people face and provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental space for exploration. Bree helps her clients to identify their emotions, manage them, communicate them effectively, and use them to guide adaptive action. Although Bree pays particular attention to emotion, she also include intervention in the realms of thought, behavior, and body for a holistic approach. Bree is experienced in working with mood disorders, trauma, relationship issues, sexual identity and functioning, and life transitions. She has special interest in working with couples or individuals seeking sex therapy and with LGBTQ+ clients.
