In individual psychotherapy, we look at how you are currently living and clarify what is working for you and what you want to change. A therapeutic conversation heightens awareness of your feelings, thoughts, sensations and behaviors. With my support, you learn to use your growing awareness as ground for taking experimental steps in new enlivening directions. Our therapy process leads toward resolution, change and growth. Contemporary Gestalt psychotherapy is holistic, humanistic, embodied, and relational. As a gestalt therapist, I work in a present, mindful manner to support you and address your needs. Additionally, I am trauma certified, so our therapy is informed by current research on the affects, and healing possibilities, after traumatic life experiences.
I understand the range of psychotherapeutic approaches in use today and I integrate them as necessary. I work in individual, couple and group therapy with people of various ages, ethnicities, races, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I have particular expertise in LGBTQ issues.
