Delivering inclusive healthcare requires engaging education.

Providers want to provide culturally competent care; but accessing the right education is challenging.

We know that being culturally competent requires continuous learning and growth, and we recognize that this requires a lot of time from providers and provider organizations. We're curating the best clinical education to help your teams learn about, and meaningfully work with, the many communities you serve.

Finding the right education is a big task; we’re here to take this off your plate. Our platform is continuously showcasing the best clinical education on delivering inclusive healthcare.

Common pain point #1

Everyone has their own definition of cultural competence and how to train on it.

We’ve created a clinical and research-backed cultural competence framework that views cultural competence as an umbrella with standard pillars of competence (e.g. cultural encounters, cultural awareness, etc.). Each of these pillars is important for delivering effective and inclusive care. Delivering quality education and training in all of the pillars of cultural competence, beyond just knowledge and skill, is crucial for providing the best care.

Common pain point #2

There isn't a centralized place to access quality education on being culturally competent.

Violet has compiled an extensive, 400+ training database of cultural competence trainings available across various communities. We are assessing and clustering trainings on several axes (e.g. format, pillar of cultural competence, intended audience) and only surfacing quality education to care providers. Our curated education offers both free and paid trainings by nationally recognized educators and earns continuing education credits.

Common pain point #3

Many cultural competence trainings focus exclusively on cultural knowledge and skill or are introductory trainings.

Violet’s education offerings span across different pillars of cultural competence, both within communities and across communities. Many of the trainings we highlight focus on clinical issues for specific populations and how identities and lived experience affect clinical care.
